About the art.
My work explores different aspects of the human condition, such as mental illness and interpersonal connection. I utilize three-dimensional forms, prints, drawings, and digital media to turn my personal experiences into tangible objects. By using different aspects of the human form I therapeutically communicate my experiences with identity, depression, anxiety, self-sabotage, anorexia, and emotional abuse. Making each work has allowed me to utilize processes I enjoy to explore the emotions I have experienced while at the same time facing these issues. Sharing my processes and final forms allows me to find commonality with others, while creating an open dialogue that encourages reflection and response.
